Women’s BUCS 2 have never been so ready, physically and emotionally, for a game. In the lead up to what would be their last showdown of the season, they did everything right. Friendlies were played against Women’s A and Men’s B/C. Team bonding took place the night before at Bill’s. Spirits were high, and the hunger to win was more than evident. But alas, it wasn’t meant to be. In what was undoubtedly their most intense game of the season, the girls lost 3-2 to Plymouth 1st. Despite the result, we couldn’t have gone out in a better way. We fought our hardest and that’s what matters most. Thank you to all the supporters for their loud cheers of encouragement (we couldn’t have done it without you). Thank you to Pati for stepping in as our coach and to Michael for always making sure we’d be taken care of. But most of all, thank you to Julie, Laura, Marina, Abi, and Holly for bringing your A-game every single step of the way – you’ve made your captains proud!
